DISCLAIMER:

I have no musical talent whatsoever.  I can't even play the cowbell.

These songs are MIDI/karoke files that I've edited, mostly just dubbing tracks, changing the instruments and tempos.

I've played with MIDI quite a bit in the past and for me it always sounded tinny and electronic.  But recently, I wanted to show my daughter's music teacher what MIDI was and I came across software that changed it all for me.

The person behind this Claudio Nicora (proud Italian) deserves credit , not only for his software but also for his simple explanation of it in his introduction.

Full instructions on the Coolsoft site with complete tutorials.

I mostly used the soundfonts available at http://www.emu-france.com.  I can't say much about that since the site is in French.

There are many other people involved who deserve credit as well.

The photo is not photoshopped.  My wife and kids actually got 5 parakeets to stay still with a rabbit behind them.  My wife Cleo also helped with cover design.   The voices on Birthday are my two daughters Mary and Maggy.

Somebody scored these files.  I'm sure they're talented musicians.

And of course, the artists who wrote and performed these songs.

Thanks Artem for the inspiration for the title and JPF for seeding the idea so many years ago.

I'll be keeping this up to date as we add more.

Enjoy,
