Veamcast

Early Adopters Program terms

Last updated 28 October 2026.

This page has two halves. The part about what the preview is and what you accept by using it applies to you now, and every sign-in and sign-up screen in Veamcast points here for it. The part about pricing and billing is deliberately unwritten: those terms will be settled with the first group who join, because doing that together is the whole point of the program.

Veamcast is in preview. Things will not work. This is unfinished software that we are building in the open. Features are missing, features are broken, features behave differently from how they are described, and data can be lost. If you use Veamcast you are accepting that, as is, with no warranty and no recourse against us for what it costs you. That is what the rest of this page spells out, and it is the deal: you get in early, and in exchange you carry the risk of early.

None of our terms are final yet. Every Veamcast policy, this page included, is a working draft that has not been through its final legal review. We publish them as they stand so you can read what we actually do today, and the wording will change once a lawyer has been through them. All of them are gathered on veamcast.com/compliance.html.

Veamcast is a preview, and this is what you agree to

Veamcast is pre-release software in active daily development. It is made available to you for evaluation and feedback, not as a finished product, and not as something you should depend on. By signing in, creating an account, installing or using any Veamcast app or site, or joining the Early Adopters Program, you acknowledge and agree to everything in this section.

Things will not work

You choose to be here

Nobody has to use preview software. You are choosing to, with the above in front of you, and you accept the entire risk of doing so. In particular you agree not to use Veamcast during the preview for anything where a failure would cause you real harm: not for a broadcast you have sold or promised to anyone, not as the only copy of work you cannot recreate, not as your only mailbox, and not for anything with a legal, medical, financial, safety or emergency consequence attached to it.

If you would not be able to shrug off Veamcast losing it or failing at the worst possible moment, do not put it in Veamcast yet.

No warranty

Limitation of liability

Your only remedy

Closing your account, and having your data corrected or removed, is explained at correcting or removing your data. We would much rather hear what went wrong: support@veamcast.com, and a person reads it.

What none of this takes away from you

This page is written to be as clear as we can make it about who carries the risk of unfinished software. It is not an attempt to take away rights you cannot be asked to give up, and it does not do so.

Feedback

The program runs on feedback, so there is no process to go through: tell us anything, at any length, at any time. Feedback you give us is given freely. We may use it, act on it, build it, publish it in a changelog or ignore it, without owing you payment, credit or confidentiality for it, and without it giving you any claim over what gets built. You keep the right to use your own ideas however you like; we are not taking them from you, only declining to owe you for them.

Pricing and billing: why there is nothing here yet

Veamcast is early. How it charges, how creators earn, and how viewers find work are all still open, and we would rather answer those with the creators publishing here than announce them afterwards. Writing a full commercial agreement today would mean guessing at numbers nobody can honestly set until real channels run at real volume, and then asking the first batch to sign it.

So the commercial terms get written from what the first sign ups tell us, and this section gets replaced with them. The preview terms above are not waiting on that and apply now.

What we have already committed to in writing

These parts are not placeholders. They are the promises made on the Early Adopters page, and they stand whatever the final commercial terms say:

What joining commits you to today

Nothing to pay. There are no pricing or billing terms yet to agree to, and none are being slipped past you. What you are agreeing to is the preview: the as is, no warranty and no recourse terms above, which are the condition of being let in this early.

Joining also puts your address in the early adopter group and gets your answers in front of us while the decisions are still open. The tick on the join form covers this page together with the policies gathered on veamcast.com/compliance.html: the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the DMCA process and the licence. Those govern your account and your use of Veamcast now. Where this page and another policy disagree about the preview, this page governs the preview.

You can leave the program, or have your data corrected or removed, at any point. See correcting or removing your data.

What is still open

The questions the first batch is being asked to help answer, and therefore the parts of the commercial terms that do not exist yet:

When this gets written

When the first batch has told us enough to answer the questions above, and in any case before any early adopter is billed. The terms will be published here, and everybody in the group gets them by email at the address they joined with rather than having to find this page again.

We may update this page as the preview changes. The date at the top is when it last moved, and material changes go to the group by email rather than only appearing here. Carrying on using Veamcast after a change means the updated page applies to you.

Until then, treat anything you read elsewhere about early adopter pricing as a description of what we intend, not a contract. If something on another page contradicts this one, this page is the one that is current, and we would like to hear about it at support@veamcast.com.

Questions

The program, these terms, the policies, or help with your account, all at one address: support@veamcast.com.

There is no separate queue for any of those. It is one small team and one mailbox, and a person reads it.
